The latest images from Koç University show their state of moral corruption.

Scandalous images continue to emerge from time to time from universities who are tasked with training the younger generation to become individuals who are of use to the country. The latest example comes from Koç University. Images taken at Koç University, where thousands of students are completing their higher education, sheds light on the last point of immorality in the university. The images show students freely walking around half-naked on campus. While people who see the images are amazed at how these images transcend the boundaries of morality and decency within the campus, they also question the capability of such an institution to raise a generation based on national and moral values.

They are injecting perversion in educational institutions

The student, who can be seen in the images with the egregious stockings, turns out to be a member of the perverted homosexual LGBT community. It is almost as if by allowing the perverts to walk around the university so freely, the institution is playing to the hands of those who are trying to put immorality into the educational institutions.

Students and parents are uncomfortable with the scandalous images

While the unscrupulous images of Koç University disturb many students studying at the university, it also worries parents who are trying their hardest to enable their children to go to a university. Parents are expecting the authorities to take action as soon as possible.

The images are so disgraceful that we can only publish photos by blurring them. We will present the photographs in their original form in the case that competent authorities take action.

Kaos GL: Probe into LGBTI awareness event at Robert College

The Turkish Ministry of Education has started an investigation into private American high school Robert College after daily Yeni Akit targeted the school. Akit headlined the investigation as an “investigation into perversion.”

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has started an investigation into Robert College, which was targeted by homophobic daily newspaper Yeni Akit for holding a series of LGBTI awareness events for students. Yeni Akit headlined the events as “Perversion at Robert College” and the investigation as “MEB Investigation into Perversion at Robert.”

In a March 31 article, Faruk Aslan from Yeni Akit used provocative sentences like “they will inject homoseuality to high-school students” and show “immoral movies” at Robert College’s LGBTI awareness events. Aslan also alleged that the events did not have MEB permission and they presented the events as “a perversion choir to present the homosexuality sickness as a normal human condition in society.”

Akit targeted, MEB started the investigation

MEB’s Besiktas District Office began an investigation into the school in less than a week after Akit targeted Robert College. Faruk Arslan’s racist and homophobic story that “announces the good news” for the investigation also includes the school’s own defense.

akit-robert-sorusturma.jpg

Faruk Aslan reports the investigation as “MEB has not remained silent on Robert College’s perverted events that inject homosexuality into its students.” Arslan says Robert College confirmed the LGBTI week to the ministry and that the school organized the week to respect different genders.

Faruk Arslan claims to have access to Robert College’s defense in the investigation. Arslan includes the file number and the names of school officials. By sharing an official document, Arslan is turning these officials into open targets.

Seeing Akit’s homophobia in the Ministry of National Education

Arslan claims that the MEB asked the school “Which gender includes the homosexuality sickness?” The newspaper says Robert College did not respond to this question. Homosexuality is legal and is not considered a sickness in Turkey. Akit’s assessment of homosexuality as a sickness is rooted in the newspaper’s homophobia.

However, if the newspaper’s claim is accurate, then MEB also views homosexuality as a sickness and demands that it be related to a gender. In that case, then MEB’s investigation and Akit’s homophobia are intertwined.

Previously, we were informed of MEB’s Cankaya District Manager Mehmet Yilmaz’s homophobia through Whatsapp messages to school principles. Yilmaz texted his discomfort of LGBTI commissions in schools and alleged that students are trying to be pulled into “perversion” and that “this perverted mentality which is today’s representatives of the tribe of Lot” are trying to hang “posters that present sexual perversions like perverted gay and lesbianism” in schools.

If Akit’s allegations of Robert College investigation are correct, then we need to be speaking about MEB’s homophobia.

There are LGBTI students!

When Yeni Akit’s racist, homophobic, anti-LGBTI, aggressive and hateful “news” style is embraced by MEB, LGBTI students will be forced to hide and be ignored. It means LGBTI youth will not be able to exist in safety in society. Therefore, Akit and similar newspapers’ anti-LGBTI stance cannot be reproduced by state institutions and ministries.

Robert College’s principled stance against a media language that ignores and lynches LGBTI, as well as the fact that it is not taking a step back despite homophobic pressures from public institutions, is admirable.

Let this be a reminder: LGBTI students exist! LGBTIs exist! Homosexuality is not a sickness! Homophobia is discrimination!

The gay-lesbianism perversion injected by the evil powers doing all they can to play with genetic codes of Muslim Turkish society has now reached as far as schools. It has come to light that the American Robert College has designated the dates March 27-31 as “Gay and Homosexual Week.” It has been discovered that the week-long activities that involve movies, books and competitions that all aim to transfer the homosexual perversion to high school students were organized by the U.S. educators Marshall Hoover and Joe Welch.

THEY WILL INJECT “HOMOSEXUALITY” TO HIGH-SCHOOL STUDENTS

Robert College did not make a prior announcement for the activities involved in the “Gay and Homosexual Week” and allegedly organized it without approval of the Ministry of Education, informing the teachers via direct email. It has been reported that Robert College, which is rooted abroad, designated the theme of this week’s activities organized under Alliance/Solidarity Week as homosexuality. The American Robert College, joining the chorus of perverts that represent the disease of homosexuality as a normal human condition, has added 25 homosexuality-related books to its library collection. The covers of related books are marked with the rainbow symbol, which represents these perverts called LGBT. The email that Robert College sent to its teachers included the following statements about the LGBT books: “Have we skipped any books? Let us know and we will mark their covers. We have also prepared a jar for you to notify us about books on this subject that are not in our library.” It was reported that a big rainbow image for students to take pictures under was prepared at the College.

THE HOMO COMPETITION AND PRIZE

A competition about homosexuals was organized in the part of Robert College known as Marble Hall. Robert College prepared a board with pictures of “famous” homosexuals and asked students to write the names of the perverts on the picture with a ballot. It was announced that the students who can answer the most questions will win a “fabulous prize.”

THEY HAD A 17 YEAR OLD GIVE A PRESENTATION ON HOMOSEXUALITY

An information desk was also set up at the school. At the desk, students’ questions on homosexuality were addressed, and homosexuality was praised. Robert College did not stop there. During “Gay and Homosexual Week,” an 11th grader named Kaan Tarhan gave a presentation on “biological causes of homosexuality.” The perverts’ presentation, that they had a high school student give, took place in the teachers’ lounge called “Gould Hall.”

IMMORAL MOVIES

The Robert College’s homosexuality activities today (Thursday) will include movie screenings. The students will be shown two movies involving obscene scenes related with gay and lesbianism at Robert College, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Education. At 3PM the “Geography Club,” at 6PM Ferzan Özpetek’s “Loose Cannons” movie on the story of a gay man’s struggle with his family and friends who do not accept him will be screened. In order to increase the attendance to these obscene movies, the Robert College administration announced that various snacks will be served during the screenings.

THEY CONFINED THEMSELVES TO SILENCE

The Robert College authorities to whom we referred regarding the subject were allegedly not available and have refrained from making any statement.

Yeni Akit: Support for Homos by the CHP and the HDP

The Republican People’s Party (CHP) and People’s Democratic Party (HDP) had their homo love rekindled. The CHP and the HDP, which had previously listed homosexual candidates for the June 7th general elections, now are also signatories to a campaign for homosexuals’ ugly demands.

The Republican People’s Party (CHP) and People’s Democratic Party (HDP) had their homo love rekindled. The CHP and the HDP, which had previously listed homosexual candidates for the June 7th general elections, now are also signatories to a campaign for homosexuals’ ugly demands. 39 [sic] MP candidates, with prominent names such as Enis Berberoğlu, Şafak Pavey, and Elif Bulut, have become signatories to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBTI) Rights Pledge that was organized by the Social Policies, Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Studies Association (SPoD).

Şafak Pavey, the CHP’s MP candidate for Istanbul, reported that she will continue defending LGBTI rights as she did before and that she will carry the responsibilities brought on by this signature with honor.[1]

On the other hand, Musa Çam, the CHP’s Izmir 1st Region MP candidate, claimed that LGBTI rights are the most basic human rights and said “We will do everything we can for LGBTIs.”

HDP Candidates: Homosexuals are not alone

Sevda Özer and Ali Haydar Konca, MP candidates for Kocaeli from the HDP, reported in their statement following their signature of the pledge that LGBTI individuals are not alone in this struggle and that anyone who finds guidance in liberties should support this struggle.[1]

That pledge has the following signatories:

Islamist daily Vahdet calls for LGBTI organizations to be closed down

Islamist daily Vahdet covered Turkish courts’ past rejections of closure requests made against LGBTI associations Kaos GL and Lambdaistanbul as the “judicial promotion of immorality”.

Source: Ömer Akpınar, “Vahdet’ten “LGBTİ örgütleri kapatılsın” çağrısı!”, (“Islamist daily calls for LGBTI organizations to be closed down!”), kaosGL.org, 23 February 2015, http://kaosgl.org/sayfa.php?id=18819

Vahdet was founded in December 2014 by journalists who left Yeni Akit, another extremist newspaper infamous for its hate speech against ethnic, religious and sexual minorities in Turkey. As the last part of its discriminatory attacks, the paper put forth news about the closure requests against Kaos GL Association in 2005 and Lambdaistanbul LGBTT Solidarity Association in 2006.

The Turkish Constitutional Court acknowledged last year that referring to gays as “perverts” is hate speech. However, Vahdet still called Kaos GL and Lambdaistanbul “the NGOs of perverse circles”, deeming the verdicts that the associations are not “contrary to morality” to be a “trump card given to the perverts by the court.”

Vahdet rediscovers LGBTI history in Turkey

Islamist and conservative media organs have been instrumentalizing homophobic and transphobic hate discourse to attack the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) as the country’s LGBTI movement rises despite having no support from the government.

Vahdet claimed that “the immoral circles gain protection to continue their activities freely due to some judicial verdicts”, targeting previous decisions in favor of LGBTIs’ freedom of expression and organization.

Levent Pişkin: “It was not me; it was the state of being a fag* that was judged”

Source: Yıldız Tar, “Levent Pişkin: Ben Değil İbnelik Yargılandı” (“Levent Pişkin: It was not me; it was the state of being a fag that was judged.”) KaosGL.org, 28 May 2014, http://kaosgl.org/sayfa.php?id=16699

Levent Pişkin, the LGBTI activist who received a pecuniary penalty for insulting the Prime Minister commented: “It was not me; it was ibnelik* that was judged… Intent is paramount in cases of defamation. It is with which intent you utter a phrase that determines the insult.”

Levent Pişkin was sentenced to a pecuniary fine of 1500 TL (720 USD) as a result of the “fag” tweet defamation case filed by the Prime Minister. In an atmosphere of hate, in which insulting, hate-mongering, minority targeting publications such as Yeni Akit go unpunished; a “fag” citizen’s demand for an explanation from the head of the executive, legislative and even the judiciary branches of the state was penalized.

Pişkin who said, “it was not me, it was faggotry being judged” had also filed a criminal complaint, which was dismissed by the court. We talked to Pişkin about the proceedings as well as the legal and social implications of the case.

Pişkin said there had to be intent in order for him to be punished for insult. A “fag” himself, he reminded us that he could not possibly have used the word “fag” as an insult.

Pişkin added that he would refile the criminal complaint against Prime Minister Erdoğan and that he will continue his struggle for “faggotry” in every medium.
